Honoring the Legacy of Harry Bridges

July, 2001, marked the 100th Birthday of Harry Bridges. The Institute, it's Directors and hundreds of dedicated volunteers organized a week long event, culminating in the historic march of 10,000 supporters across the Vincent Thomas Bridge from Terminal Island to San Pedro, California. The event received widespread coverage in the media, reaching union workers, their families and the community.
